10 days / 9 nights Itinerary

Travel periods: May, June & July 2025

Which child hasn’t dreamed of sleeping in a treehouse? And which parents have not dreamed of exploring the French Riviera, Provence, and the French Alps?

Well, here we are! This is the ideal family program where everyone will find happiness. Upon arriving in Nice, you’ll get acquainted with its charming streets, artisan shops, local food stalls offering Mediterranean flavors, or enjoy a long walk along the “Promenade des Anglais” by the sea after discovering the works of the great painter Henri Matisse. Then, in the neighboring city-state of Monaco, you’ll explore this luxurious “rock” and its wonders, such as the magnificent Oceanographic Museum and the Prince’s prestigious car collection.

Next, we’ll head up towards the clouds, driving through the alpine roads of the “Mercantour” park. After observing wolves, you’ll stay in a treehouse as comfortable as a hotel room, with only birds as your neighbors. Various activities will delight the whole family in the fresh mountain air.

We’ll continue the animal discovery in a bioclimatic estate, where a mini-safari will introduce you to bison, elk, deer, and many more friends. You will also enjoy a day of canoeing in the Verdon Gorges, with picnic.

A final afternoon free in Nice will give the family time to enjoy beautiful sights and flavors before heading home, with fond memories and the feeling of having lived a dream…

Welcome at Nice airport and transfer to your hotel.

Dinner on your own at the hotel’s restaurants. We book for you.

HOTEL HYATT REGENCY – Hotel 5***** (family room).  The Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée is an iconic 5-star hotel located on the famous “Promenade des Anglais”, offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. This Art Deco gem combines historical charm with modern elegance, creating an ideal setting for luxury stays. The spacious rooms and suites, including family suites designed to comfortably accommodate families, offer generous space and stunning views of either the sea or the mountains.

The hotel features two pools: a heated outdoor pool, perfect for relaxing while enjoying the panoramic view, and an indoor pool for year-round swimming in a sheltered environment. The restaurant Le 3e serves delicious Mediterranean cuisine, and the bar lounge with a terrace is the perfect spot to unwind with a cocktail.

Guests can also take advantage of a well-equipped fitness center, a sauna, and meeting rooms for business stays. Located in the heart of Nice, this hotel is the ideal starting point to explore the city and the French Riviera in a sumptuous and refined setting.

Breakfast.

Accompanied by your guide, this day will be dedicated to shopping while discovering the city. We’ll start the day with a visit to the Cours Saleya Market, a vibrant and colorful outdoor market offering a wide variety of fresh products, flowers, and local specialties. We’ll stroll through the aisles where you’ll be tempted by the scents and flavors of Provence. Then, we’ll delve into the history of Old Nice, wandering through its picturesque alleys lined with pastel-colored buildings. We’ll admire the charming architecture and soak up the lively atmosphere of this historic neighborhood.

Lunch on your own during the tour (option to reserve a restaurant before the trip as there’s a risk of restaurants being fully booked on the day of your visit). We recommend the restaurant “chez Davia”.  This charming establishment has been run by the same family since 1953. Initially imagined by Davia, the grandmother, it was taken over in 1985 by Alda, the mother, who is now retired. Since 2016, it’s been Pierre Altobelli, the third generation, who, after an impressive career in Michelin-starred restaurants in France and Asia, prepares delicious Niçoise recipes. Everything here is carefully curated, with products chosen with great attention. Enjoy these dishes in a delightful retro bistro setting, preserved in its original state. An absolute favorite. We book for you.

Afternoon with your guide to discover Nice and to do some shopping.

Is your teenager or yourself a fan of aviation? Great news: to make their day, there’s nothing better than offering them an incredible flight simulator experience.

Located in Nice, this activity is perfect for a thrilling and unforgettable moment, offering the chance to learn how to handle a commercial airliner under almost real conditions, alongside a professional pilot. You’ll feel like you’re flying a real A320, thanks to the highly realistic cockpit, the 180° screen, and the immersive sensations! Soon, piloting techniques will no longer be a mystery for you or your teen.

For dinner we recommend the restaurant “La Merenda”.  La Merenda in Nice is a charming, no-frills restaurant known for its authentic Niçoise cuisine. Owned by renowned chef Dominique Le Stanc, who left a Michelin-starred career to focus on traditional, local dishes, La Merenda offers a truly intimate dining experience. The menu features classic specialties like “pissaladière,” “socca,” and “daube.” With its tiny space, no phone, and cash-only policy, it’s a hidden gem that embodies the culinary soul of Nice, attracting food lovers seeking genuine regional flavors.

(we book for you).

The collection includes HISPANO SUIZA, ROLLS ROYCE, LINCOLN, FACEL VEGA, DELAGE, DELAHAYE, PACKARD, HUMBER, NAPIER, FERRARI, MASERATI, LAMBORGHINI, ALFA ROMEO, the LEXUS from the 2011 Princely wedding, and more. Additionally, it features race cars that have made their mark in the Monte Carlo Rally and F1 cars from the Monaco Grand Prix.

Lunch on your own.

Visit the Oceanographic Museum. With its immense aquarium housing 6,000 varieties of marine life, the Oceanographic Museum is a treasure for any lover of marine fauna and flora. Founded by Prince Albert I in 1910, it offers a breathtaking plunge into the oceans, uncovering all its mysteries. The Lagoon, a true coral reef recreated within the museum, is the cherry on top of a visit you won’t regret.

Return to Nice. For dinner we recommend the restaurant “Peixes Bonaparte”. Between Place Garibaldi and Old Nice, the little brother of Peixes Opéra also boasts a large terrace, highly popular during the warmer months! The winning formula is well-known: a variety of seafood dishes (fish, tataki, sashimi, acras, oysters) and ceviche specialties. The contemporary bistro setting, with its marine blue and white decor, evokes Portugal and Greece. Behind the counter, a mixologist crafts cocktails. We book for you.

From 7:00 PM: Dinner at the restaurant.

Overnight stay in a bioclimatic room. From your terrace, enjoy a unique view of the Reserve and its wildlife.

Breakfast.

Departure to the charming town of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie through the Alps and its beautiful mountain landscapes. Renowned for its artisanal pottery and spectacular natural setting, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie consists of steep streets and stone houses that offer authentic medieval charm, while its famous star suspended between two cliffs proudly overlooks the valley. Visitors can browse pottery shops, visit local artisans’ workshops, and admire the waterfalls surrounding the village. With its picturesque restaurants and breathtaking panoramas of Lake Sainte-Croix and the surrounding mountains.

Check-in at your hotel.

For lunch. We recommend the restaurant of your hotel, The Hotel & Spa des Gorges du Verdon 4***** (suite), located in La Palud-sur-Verdon, offers a unique combination of charm, luxury, and nature. Nestled in the heart of the stunning Verdon Gorges, this hotel provides breathtaking panoramic views, ideal for an immersive experience in the Provençal countryside.

The hotel features elegantly designed rooms that reflect a chic Provençal style. Each room comes with modern amenities, and some have private balconies with incredible views of the surrounding gorges and mountains.

The spa is a sanctuary of relaxation, offering a jacuzzi, hammam, heated outdoor pool, and private treatment rooms where guests can enjoy massages and wellness services inspired by natural elements. It’s an ideal place to unwind and rejuvenate after a day of exploring.

Departure to Nice to your hotel.

Free Afternoon for shopping or city walk in Nice for personal discovery.

We recommend Farewell dinner at the restaurant “Racines*”. Chef Bruno Cirino and his trusted right-hand man, José Vidal, serve a unique, great-value menu in this small restaurant, featuring only organic or sustainably grown fruits and vegetables from the region. Their garden-to-table cuisine uses produce harvested at optimal ripeness, cooked with skill to highlight the unique flavors of the Côte d’Azur, especially garlic, olive oil, and basil. Delight in dishes like a coal fish soup with red spring onions and basil, violet artichoke with cheese emulsion and grilled Ligurian spiny artichoke, a root vegetable terrine inspired by “César Baldaccini,” and oven-baked apple with burnt barley ice cream. All this is complemented by fine wines at attractive prices, served with a smile. We book for you.
