Itinerary

Here’s a program you won’t find anywhere else because we’re moving away from the clichés of mass tourism to help you discover hidden little paradises

Welcome at Nice airport and transfer to your hotel.

Dinner on your own. We suggest the restaurant – Flaveur** –  The Tourteaux brothers, Gaël and Mickaël, are inseparable. They attended the same hotel school in Nice (even taking exams in the same room!), received joint training at the Negresco under Alain Llorca, and shared the same desire to work with quality, authenticity, and flavor while being their own bosses. The result of this fraternal alliance is Flaveur, their brainchild, to which they have dedicated all their energy, earning a Michelin star in 2011 and a second in 2018. How can we summarize the “Tourteaux touch”? It is defined by a certain confidence, audacity, and a well-balanced willingness to take risks. For example, when it comes to choosing between local products and distant spices, they don’t choose: they take both! On one of their plates, a rockfish from the Nice catch meets a fish broth enhanced with vadouvan, a powerful Indian spice blend… it was risky, and it’s a success. Their cuisine is characterized by boldness, finesse, and mastery from start to finish: bravo! We book for you.

Hotel du Couvent, the Luxury Collection 5***** (suite). Welcome to the new Hôtel du Couvent in Nice, a charming establishment nestled in a beautifully restored historic convent. Located in the heart of the city, this boutique hotel offers a unique blend of history and modern luxury. The tranquil atmosphere, combined with its elegant decor, provides a perfect retreat from the bustling streets of Nice. With its prime location, guests are just steps away from the vibrant old town, stunning beaches, and renowned attractions. Whether you are here for a relaxing getaway or to explore the French Riviera, the Hôtel du Couvent promises an unforgettable experience.

Breakfast.

Accompanied by your guide, this morning will be dedicated to discovering the city. We’ll start the day with a visit to the Cours Saleya Market, a vibrant and colorful outdoor market offering a wide variety of fresh products, flowers, and local specialties. We’ll stroll through the aisles where you’ll be tempted by the scents and flavors of Provence. Then, we’ll delve into the history of Old Nice, wandering through its picturesque alleys lined with pastel-colored buildings. We’ll admire the charming architecture and soak up the lively atmosphere of this historic neighborhood.

Lunch on your own during the tour (option to reserve a restaurant before the trip as there’s a risk of restaurants being fully booked on the day of your visit). We recommend the restaurant “chez Davia”.  This charming establishment has been run by the same family since 1953. Initially imagined by Davia, the grandmother, it was taken over in 1985 by Alda, the mother, who is now retired. Since 2016, it’s been Pierre Altobelli, the third generation, who, after an impressive career in Michelin-starred restaurants in France and Asia, prepares delicious Niçoise recipes. Everything here is carefully curated, with products chosen with great attention. Enjoy these dishes in a delightful retro bistro setting, preserved in its original state. An absolute favorite. We book for you.

Departure by helicopter to the heart of Provence to Le Puy-Sainte-Reparade.

Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel. We recommend the restaurant “Hélène Darroze à Villa La Coste* ». At the gateway to the Luberon, Château La Coste, a true masterpiece combining contemporary art and wine, has captivated Chef Hélène Darroze, who has lent her name to the venue. In the heart of Provence, the chef has chosen to focus on plant-based ingredients. Carrots and eggplants from Bruno Cayron, cherries from Florent Lazare: each dish title pays tribute to its producer. The result? Plates full of finesse, showcasing exceptional products without unnecessary sophistication, along with nods to the recipes that have made the famous chef from the South-West successful, such as tandoori-spiced gamberoni or Darroze’s Armagnac baba. We book for you.

Breakfast.

A day at the hotel to enjoy at your own pace the Château La Coste estate, which is a unique destination combining vineyard, art, and architecture. This prestigious vineyard covers 200 hectares and offers tastings of renowned organic wines. There are also buildings scattered throughout the estate, built by bold and avant-garde architects. Château La Coste also offers a refined gastronomic experience with several restaurants run by Michelin-starred chefs. Concerts are often held in different locations on the property. It is a place where art, nature, and wine come together to offer an exceptional cultural and sensory experience.

For lunch we recommend the restaurant “Tadao Ando”. in the exceptional card designed by the architect Tadao Ando, discover this Provencal brewery that offers tasty cuisine prepared from vegetables from the garden of the estate. We book for you.

For dinner we recommend restaurant “Francis Mallmann au Château La Coste ». The philosophy of the famous Argentine chef is faithfully adhered to here: slowly smoked meat hung on a string, mashed potatoes, and chimichurri; flame-grilled lamb in our dome, eggplant, and fire-roasted peppers… all to be savored in an astonishing setting reminiscent of Argentine haciendas. We book for you.

Breakfast.

Departure for the discovery of the Luberon region which is often compared with Tuscany. This region attracts many film stars or famous writers as it is beautiful and pleasant all year round.

We first stop in Lourmarin, considered one of the most beautiful villages in France, this pretty Provençal village was the last residence of Albert Camus where he rests in his cemetery. Stroll through the charming alleys where pretty shops or art galleries are dotted around.

Passing through the village of Cucuron and its pretty basin, continue to the cosy Domaine Novi for a discovery of a young and talented winemaker, Romain Dol, who will make you discover his estate and make you taste his wines.

We continue to the village of Ansouis, one of the most beautiful villages in France for lunch in a starred restaurant that sublimates Provençal cuisine. This Closerie is a former post office where one can savor a true ode to Provence in the elegant and modern dining room or on the small panoramic terrace. After touring his producers, Marseille-born chef Olivier Alemany (trained notably by Jacques Chibois) enchants with traditional cuisine elevated by the superb products of Provence, bursting with sunshine and unparalleled freshness. In the dining room, his wife Delphine provides meticulous and attentive service.

Digestive walk in this beautiful village and its 12th century church and castle.

Return to your hotel.

Dinner on your own and overnight at your hotel Auberge La Coste.

Breakfast.

Departure to visit Aix-en-Provence, founded in 122 BC by the Romans as “Aquae Sextiae” (water of Sextius), is a city rich in history and culture. Known for its picturesque streets, elegant 17th and 18th-century mansions, and thermal springs, it offers a blend of historical charm and modern wellness.

We explore the Cours Mirabeau, Saint-Sauveur Cathedral, and the legacy of painter Paul Cézanne through his studio and the Granet Museum. The city’s vibrant cultural life includes the annual International Festival of Lyric Art and numerous year-round festivals, exhibitions, and markets.

Aix-en-Provence provides an unforgettable experience with its museums, art galleries, stylish boutiques, and Provençal markets. Enjoy local delicacies like calissons and explore the beautiful surrounding countryside, all while soaking in the city’s unique blend of history and culture.

Lunch on your own (option to reserve a table before the trip). We recommend the restaurant “Sauvage”.  Wild and original like the iconoclastic chef himself, Loïc Pétri, who trained in prestigious Parisian establishments (chef Jean-François Piège, chef Joël Robuchon) before returning to his southern roots. In his trendy restaurant on a pedestrian street in Aix, he unleashes his creativity five nights a week. Through bold combinations and a skillful use of oils, spices, and peppers, his free-spirited cuisine delivers winning ideas such as Camargue oyster sushi, meagre fish with eggplant and white miso, coffee sauce, lamb with confit pepper and crispy couscous, and cherries with frozen almond milk. The modern dining room features polished concrete floors, varnished wooden tables, ambient music, and a captivated clientele. We book for you.

Continuation to Marseille, founded by Greek sailors in 600 BC as Massalia, is one of the oldest cities in France and a vibrant melting pot of cultures. Situated on the Mediterranean coast, it boasts a rich maritime heritage and a dynamic urban atmosphere.

We explore the Vieux-Port, the historic heart of the city, where you can watch fishermen unload their catch and stroll along the bustling quays. Visit the iconic Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde, offering panoramic views of the city and sea, and delve into history at the MuCEM (Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations).

Savor the flavors of Marseille with local specialties such as “bouillabaisse”, a traditional Provençal fish stew, and fresh seafood at waterfront restaurants.

We continue towards Cassis, a small seaside resort at the foot of the highest cliff in Europe.

LES ROCHES BLANCHES HOTEL 5***** (executive room sea view). Nestled between the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean and the majestic cliffs of the Calanques, the Hôtel des Roches Blanches in Cassis is a true haven of peace and luxury. This five-star establishment offers breathtaking sea views, combining contemporary elegance with Provençal charm.

The tastefully and elegantly decorated rooms and suites offer exceptional comfort with spectacular views of the sea or the lush gardens. Each space is designed to create an atmosphere of serenity and well-being.

The hotel offers an unparalleled culinary experience with its gourmet restaurants, where chefs highlight local flavors and fresh regional products. For absolute relaxation, the hotel’s spa offers a range of luxurious treatments and an infinity pool overlooking the sea. Wine enthusiasts can also enjoy local vineyards for unique tastings.

Among 4 restaurants at the hotel, for dinner we recommend the restaurant “les Belles Canailles”.   For an evening of dining facing the majestic Cap Canaille, let our Chef Nicolas Sintes guide you through a unique gastronomic experience. His cuisine highlights local products and Mediterranean treasures, inspired by the seasons and his creativity. Finally, be tempted by the delicious creations of our pastry chef Valentin Fabry. The beauty of the landscape and the movements of the shoreline will accompany you for a night of passion. We book for you.

Breakfast.

This morning, departure for a private cruise to discover the creeks and its turquoise waters.

Lunch on your own (option to reserve a table before the trip). We recommend the restaurant “l’Epuisette*”. An “Épuisette” (landing net) among the rocks, what could be more fitting? Nestled on the reefs of the Vallon des Auffes – an enchanting setting – this restaurant lives in intimate harmony with the sea… The Fanny menu, the house’s signature, dazzles like a July sun. The chef masters his craft, the products are of the freshest quality, the recipes precise, the flavors distinct, and the generosity natural. Among the delights: the bouillabaisse – scorpion fish, monkfish, red gurnard, weever, and John Dory, a rich and devilishly indulgent dish. A delightful stopover.

Transfer by car to your hotel in Nice hotel du Couvent 5*****.

For dinner we recommend the restaurant “la chèvre d’Or”*** at Eze.

What strikes you upon arriving at the Château de la Chèvre d’Or is its exceptional location: nestled on the heights of a medieval village perched on a cliff, the establishment offers breathtaking views of the azure countryside and the enchanting reflections of the Mediterranean. Once you’ve recovered from this visual “wow” moment, it’s time to dine: here too, the enthusiasm is palpable. Crafted with treasures sourced locally (fish, meats, vegetables, olive oil, herbs…), the dishes are harmonious and precise. We book for you.
