Breakfast.
Departure for Chamonix and Mont Blanc. Ascend to the Aiguille du Midi: one of the highest cable cars in the world lifts you to an altitude of 3,842 meters in just 20 minutes. The view is breathtaking! You can also experience the extreme sensation of the Step into the Void (subject to opening).
Lunch on your own in the center of Chamonix or at the Montenvers restaurant. We recommend the restaurant Albert 1er (1 Michelin star). Pierre, Marcel, Joseph, Clothilde… since its founding in 1903, four generations have carried this house, now in the hands of Perrine Carrier. Chef Damien Leveau’s cuisine, with Savoyard and Piedmontese influences, highlights regional products (char from Lake Geneva, Mont Blanc snails, pigs and lambs from local farms…), enhanced by everything grown in the aromatic garden: wood sorrel, mountain lovage, lemon thyme, savory, lemon balm, and sage. Enjoy it all in a refined and elegant setting. In this charming hamlet, you can also savor traditional cuisine at Maison Carrier, located in an old alpine farmhouse.
Departure for the “Mer de Glace” (ice sea): you’ll travel aboard a charming little red cogwheel train, ascending 1,000 meters in elevation. Upon arrival at an altitude of 1,913 meters, you’ll have to descend a few steps (about 400, which you’ll need to climb back up later, of course). But the spectacle of the Mer de Glace and its ice cave, reshaped each year, is worth the effort.
Then, if the weather permits, some free time for mountain shopping in the pedestrian streets of Chamonix. Return to Megève.
For dinner we recommend the restaurant “Le Saint Nicolas”. In this lovely Savoyard chalet overlooking Megève, the open kitchen adjacent to a charming rustic-chic dining room, entirely clad in wood, allows guests to appreciate the attention to detail by chef Marvin Lance, former second-in-command to Julien Gatillon at 1920. His Horizon, Relief, and Origine menus reflect creative plates that boldly combine his Breton roots with the Savoyard terroir, exemplified by diving scallops with Villazata white bacon and cardoons from Haute-Savoie. We book for you.

Visit to the Château d’Annecy: We explore this medieval castle that offers art exhibitions and stunning views of the city and the lake.
We suggest stopping by a local pastry shop, like “Les Gâteaux de Sophie,” to indulge in sweet treats and hot chocolate. Return to Megève.
For the last dinner in Megève we recommend the one-star Michelin restaurant “La table de l’Alpaga”. It is delightful to sit down in this chic and cozy nest, where raw and noble materials such as marble and oak create an authentic and timeless decor. At the gourmet table, young chef Alexandre Baule, originally from Isère, focuses on enhancing the flavors of the Savoy region, with a preference for plant-based ingredients. Also noteworthy are the food-cocktail pairings (with or without alcohol) crafted by a talented bartender. In the bistro, open every evening, a lovely selection of regional dishes is offered.
