Char Dham Yatra Family Package from Haridwar: My Journey with Travel Trek
Hello, I am Rakesh from Punjab. I want to share my wonderful experience of the Char Dham Yatra Family Package from Haridwar, which I booked through Travel Trek. My family and I had earlier traveled to Himachal Pradesh with them, and their service was so good that we didn’t think twice before booking our Char Dham Yatra with them.
How It All Started
For years, my parents had wished to visit Char Dham, but we never got the right opportunity. In June, I finally decided to make it happen. I searched online for “Char Dham Yatra Family Package from Haridwar” and came across many options. Since we had a great experience with Travel Trek during our Himachal tour, I contacted them first.
Their representative explained everything in detail—route, hotels, meals, and the total cost of ₹21,000 per person. The price was reasonable, and their previous service gave me confidence. Without hesitation, I paid an advance of ₹10,000 for my family of six.

Itinerary
Board on a sacred journey to the four holy shrines of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Experience divine blessings, breathtaking landscapes, and spiritual serenity. Here’s a day-wise itinerary to guide your pilgrimage.
Our journey began on September 15, 2024, at 4 AM. Travel Trek’s driver, Ravi, picked us up in an Innova. Before leaving, we took a holy dip in the Ganga at Har Ki Pauri. It was peaceful and felt like a perfect start.
On the way to Barkot, we stopped at Kempty Falls in Mussoorie, where my kids had a great time. By evening, we reached Barkot and checked into our hotel. The rooms were clean, and the food was simple yet delicious.
Early morning, we left for Janki Chatti, the starting point of the Yamunotri trek. Since my parents couldn’t trek, we booked palkis for them. The 6 km trek was tiring, but reaching Yamunotri Temple and taking blessings from Maa Yamuna made it all worth it.
After darshan, we returned to our hotel and rested.
After breakfast, we left for Uttarkashi. The drive was smooth, and we reached by afternoon. Post lunch, we visited the Vishwanath Temple—a very peaceful and divine place.
This was one of the best days of our trip. We left early for Gangotri and, on the way, passed through the Harsil Valley, known for its natural beauty.
At Gangotri Temple, the Ganga Aarti was a magical experience. Standing by the river and feeling the cool air was something I’ll never forget. By evening, we returned to Uttarkashi.
The next morning, we started for Sitapur. On the way, we visited Ardhnareshwar Temple in Guptkashi. By evening, we reached our hotel, where we prepared for the big day—Kedarnath Darshan.
We left at 3 AM for Sonprayag and took a shared jeep to Gaurikund. The 16 km trek to Kedarnath Temple was challenging, but my father’s determination kept us going.
By afternoon, we reached Kedarnath and checked into our rooms. As evening approached, we attended the Kedarnath Aarti. The temple, standing tall with the mighty Himalayas in the background, was a sight to behold.
The next morning, we visited Bhairavnath Temple, which offers a breathtaking view of the Kedarnath Valley. After taking blessings, we started our descent back to Gaurikund and then drove back to Sitapur.
We started early for Badrinath. On the way, we visited Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, where the idols from Kedarnath and Madhmaheshwar are kept during winters.
By evening, we reached Badrinath, where we stayed overnight.
At 4 AM, we visited Badrinath Temple. The temple looked divine in the morning light, and the experience was truly spiritual.
Later, we explored Mana Village, India’s last village near the Tibet border. We saw Bheem Pul and Vyas Gufa, which have great mythological significance.
It was time to head back. On the way, we visited:
Dhari Devi Temple, believed to be the guardian deity of Uttarakhand.
Devprayag Sangam, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet to form the Ganga.
By evening, we reached Haridwar, marking the end of our beautiful journey.
