Itinerary
An unforgettable journey through the Himalayas with the Annapurna Circuit Trek, a 21-day adventure that promises breath taking landscapes, rich cultural experiences, and spectacular mountain views.
Day 1-3: Kathmandu Arrival and Preparation
- Arrive in Kathmandu, explore the city’s cultural landmarks and prepare for the trek.
Day 4: Drive to Besisahar (760m)
- Travel from Kathmandu to Besisahar by bus or jeep, the starting point of the trek.
Day 5: Besisahar to Bahundanda (1,310m)
- Trek through terraced fields and villages along the Marsyangdi River to Bahundanda.
Day 6: Bahundanda to Chamje (1,410m)
- Descend to Syange village and cross several suspension bridges to reach Chamje.
Day 7: Chamje to Dharapani (1,960m)
- Trek through lush forests and ascend to Dharapani, a traditional Gurung village.
Day 8: Dharapani to Chame (2,710m)
- Continue trekking through pine forests and villages to reach Chame, the district headquarters of Manang.
Day 9: Chame to Upper Pisang (3,300m)
- Trek through a narrow valley with views of Pisang Peak and Annapurna II to Upper Pisang.
Day 10: Acclimatization Day in Upper Pisang
- Explore Upper Pisang and acclimatize to the higher altitude, optional hike to Upper Pisang Gompa.
Day 11: Upper Pisang to Manang (3,540m)
- Trek through the arid landscape of Manang District, passing through Braga village to reach Manang.
Day 12: Acclimatization Day in Manang
- Spend a day acclimatizing in Manang, explore Gangapurna Lake or visit the Himalayan Rescue Association.
Day 13: Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m)
- Ascend gradually through yak pastures and cross a suspension bridge to Yak Kharka.
Day 14: Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4,600m)
- Trek along the rocky trail to Thorong Phedi, the base camp before Thorong La Pass.
Day 15: Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3,800m) via Thorong La Pass (5,416m)
- Early morning ascent to Thorong La Pass, descend to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site.
Day 16: Muktinath to Marpha (2,670m)
- Descend through the Kali Gandaki Valley to Kagbeni and continue to Marpha, famous for its apple orchards.
Day 17: Marpha to Kalopani (2,530m)
- Trek through pine forests and cross several suspension bridges to Kalopani.
Day 18: Kalopani to Tatopani (1,190m)
- Descend to Tatopani, known for its natural hot springs, relax and rejuvenate in the hot springs.
Day 19: Tatopani to Ghorepani (2,870m)
- Ascend through rhododendron forests to Ghorepani, a village offering panoramic views of the Annapurna range.
Day 20: Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3,210m) and Trek to Nayapul, Drive to Pokhara
- Early morning hike to Poon Hill for sunrise views, descend to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara.
Day 21: Pokhara to Kathmandu
- Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara, farewell dinner in the evening.
