Itinerary

The Everest Panorama Trek is a comprehensive journey through the heart of the Khumbu region, offering breath taking views of the Everest range and a deep dive into Sherpa culture. Over 22 days, trekkers experience the best of what the Everest region has to offer, including stunning landscapes, traditional villages, monasteries, and the warm hospitality of the Sherpa people.

Days 1-2: Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel, rest and prepare for the trek.
  • Day 2: Guided city tour of Kathmandu, visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Durbar Square. Trek briefing in the evening.

Day 3: Flight to Lukla, Trek to Phakding

  • Morning: Early flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,800m).
  • Trek: Start trekking towards Phakding (2,652m).
  • Duration: Approximately 3-4 hours of trekking.

Days 4-5: Phakding to Namche Bazaar

  • Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m).
  • Duration: Approximately 6-7 hours.
  • Day 5: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. Explore local markets, visit the Sherpa Museum, and hike to the Everest View Hotel for panoramic views.

Days 6-7: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

  • Day 6: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m).
  • Duration: Approximately 5-6 hours.
  • Day 7: Explore Tengboche Monastery and enjoy the stunning views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other peaks.

Days 8-9: Tengboche to Dingboche

  • Day 8: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360m).
  • Duration: Approximately 5-6 hours.
  • Day 9: Acclimatization day in Dingboche. Optional hike to Nangkartshang Peak for acclimatization and panoramic views.

Days 10-11: Dingboche to Lobuche

  • Day 10: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m).
  • Duration: Approximately 5-6 hours.
  • Day 11: Rest and acclimatization day in Lobuche.

Days 12-13: Lobuche to Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp

  • Day 12: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170m), then to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and return to Gorak Shep.
  • Duration: Approximately 7-8 hours.
  • Day 13: Early morning hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) for sunrise views of Everest and return to Gorak Shep, then trek to Pheriche.

Days 14-15: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar

  • Day 14: Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar.
  • Duration: Approximately 6-7 hours.
  • Day 15: Rest day in Namche Bazaar, explore local attractions.

Days 16-17: Namche Bazaar to Lukla

  • Day 16: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Phakding.
  • Duration: Approximately 4-5 hours.
  • Day 17: Trek from Phakding to Lukla.
  • Duration: Approximately 3-4 hours.

Days 18-19: Flight to Kathmandu

  • Day 18: Early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
  • Day 19: Rest day in Kathmandu, explore local markets and do some shopping.

Days 20-21: Kathmandu Exploration

  • Day 20: Day trip to Bhaktapur and Patan, exploring ancient cities and their rich cultural heritage.
