Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

  • Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel, and relax.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

  • Guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage sites (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square). Trek preparation in the afternoon.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m)

  • Scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the starting point of the trek (7-8 hours).

Day 4: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,380m)

  • Trek through lush forests and along the Langtang Khola river to Lama Hotel (6-7 hours).

Day 5: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430m)

  • Continue trekking through dense forests, passing Ghodatabela, and gradually ascending to Langtang Village (6-7 hours).

Day 6: Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m)

  • Trek through yak pastures and alpine meadows, arriving at Kyanjin Gompa, with stunning views of the surrounding peaks (3-4 hours).

Day 7: Acclimatization Day at Kyanjin Gompa

  • Explore the area, visit Kyanjin Gompa and the cheese factory, and take a short hike to Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) or Tserko Ri (4,984m) for panoramic views.

Day 8: Kyanjin Gompa to Ngegang (4,200m)

  • Trek through alpine terrain to Ngegang, with gradually ascending paths (5-6 hours).

Day 9: Ngegang to Ganjala Pass (5,122m) to Keldang (4,270m)

  • Cross the challenging Ganjala Pass and descend to Keldang, enjoying spectacular views of the Langtang region (7-8 hours).

Day 10: Keldang to Dukpu (4,040m)

  • Continue trekking along ridges and through forests, gradually descending to Dukpu (6-7 hours).

Day 11: Dukpu to Tarkeghyang (2,590m)

  • Trek through forests and ridges, descending to Tarkeghyang, a traditional Sherpa village (5-6 hours).

Day 12: Tarkeghyang to Sermathang (2,610m)

  • Trek through beautiful landscapes and traditional villages to reach Sermathang (4-5 hours).

Day 13: Sermathang to Melamchi Pul Bazaar (870m)

  • Descend through terraced fields and small villages to Melamchi Pul Bazaar (5-6 hours).

Day 14: Drive from Melamchi Pul Bazaar to Kathmandu

  • Drive back to Kathmandu, enjoying scenic views along the way (4-5 hours). Spend the evening at leisure or explore the local markets.

Day 15: Free Day in Kathmandu

  • A day to rest, explore more of Kathmandu, or do some last-minute shopping.

Day 16: Departure from Kathmandu

  • Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
